Self-preparation for ICL Lens Surgery
- Schedule an eye examination with your ophthalmologist to measure your vision acuity, the lens and cornea curvatures, and the anterior chamber angle. This assessment involves pupil dilation for a thorough examination of your eye.
- Inform your ophthalmologist of any underlying health conditions and medications you are currently taking.
- If you wear contact lenses, remove them 24 hours before the surgery.
- Refrain from eating or drinking for 6 hours before the procedure.
- On the day of the surgery, ensure you have someone to accompany you, as you should not drive yourself.
- Maintain personal hygiene by washing your body and hair, trimming your nails, and wearing loose-fitting or front-opening clothing. Avoid applying makeup, creams, and scented products, such as perfumes, deodorants, or lotions, on the day of the surgery.
- If you notice any eye abnormalities, notify your ophthalmologist before the surgery.
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages on the day of the surgery.
Post-ICL Surgical Care Instructions
- Take medications and apply eye drops as prescribed.
- Avoid getting water into the eyes for 3 to 4 weeks.
- Do not rub your eyes or touch them with unwashed hands.
- Refrain from sleeping on the side of the operated eye for approximately two weeks.
- Avoid submerging in water or swimming for one week to prevent infection.
- Abstain from vigorous exercise for about 3 to 4 weeks; light exercise is permissible.
- Continue your usual medications and dietary practices.
- Use artificial tears regularly to relieve irritation.
- Engage in activities that require viewing at various distances to facilitate quicker adjustment to the ICL lens.
- Immediately inform your ophthalmologist if you notice any abnormalities in your eyes.
Possible Postoperative Symptoms
- Increased tearing or nasal congestion.
- Eye irritation or burning sensation.
- Redness of the eyes, which typically resolves within 7 to 14 days.
- Light sensitivity
Exclusions
- The price excludes a pre-surgical evaluation of the patient’s fitness.
- The price excludes consultations with a specialist (if necessary) or additional expenses related to preexisting medical conditions and other medical services, such as medical supplies, prosthetics, laboratory tests, etc (if applicable).

- The price is valid from now until 31 December 2025.
- The price includes the cost of the operating room, recovery room, medical supplies, medications used during the surgery, and fee of the surgical team related to the surgical procedure.
