- Internal Coordination: Verify patient benefits and eligibility, track appointments, and handle inpatient admissions by preparing necessary documents for initial intake and updating patient details in the Hospital Information System (HIS), Coordinate with various departments to assign appropriate rooms for patients, request and collect deposit payments per policy, and assess accurate price estimations, explaining them clearly to patients.
- External Coordination: Facilitate coordination and negotiations with various insurance companies regarding the insurance notification process at patient admission and securing pre-authorization letters before treatment. Communicate with patients, their relatives, and authorized guardians. Respond to email inquiries and phone calls.
- Risk Assessment and Compliance: Collaborate closely to assess the risks faced by clients operating in multiple countries, considering local laws, economic conditions, and industry-specific challenges, while ensuring that all insurance policies comply with international insurance laws and regulations. Stay informed of changing regulations in various markets to provide comprehensive, up-to-date coverage for clients.
- Liaison with Insurers: Communicate and negotiate with international insurance companies to secure policies, determine coverage terms, and resolve any issues or concerns related to coverage.
- Claim Management: Provide support and assistance to clients throughout the claims process, helping manage and resolve international insurance claims by ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication with insurance carriers.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all policies, claims, and communications with insurers, providing regular reports to senior management or clients as required.
- Client Support: Act as the main point of contact for international insurance inquiries, providing advice, updates, and support regarding policy renewals, changes, and claims.
- Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, brokers, legal teams, and other departments to tailor insurance solutions and address complex international risk issues.
- Training and Education: Educate clients and internal teams on international insurance policies, best practices, and the impact of global risks on their insurance needs.
Responsibilities Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nursing Science, Insurance, International Business, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance coordination, international insurance, claims processing, or hospital/healthcare operations.
- Strong understanding of benefits verification, pre-authorization, coverage terms, and international insurance regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage documentation accurately.
- Able to work on weekends and shift-based schedules (no night shift).
