Meningococcal B Vaccine
Bolster your
child’s immunity to protect against serious infections and acute illness.
Meningococcal disease is caused by the bacterium Neisseria meningitidis, which can lead to inflammation of the brain lining (meningitis) and bloodstream infections (septicemia).
The disease spreads via respiratory droplets from coughing and sneezing during close contact. It can be life-threatening, especially in infants and young children whose immune systems are not yet fully developed, making them more vulnerable to infection and severe complications than adults.
Symptoms often develop suddenly and can become severe very quickly:
- Acute high fever
- Severe headache and stiff neck
- Nausea and vomiting
- Lethargy, confusion, or loss of consciousness
- Skin rash or petechiae
Prevention is the most effective protection against rapidly progressing diseases like meningococcal infection. Vaccination offers parents peace of mind, helping protect their child at every stage of life for a healthier future.
